pbspanWHAT YOU’LL DO/span/b/ppspanThe primary responsibility of the Lounge Server is to ensure complete customer satisfaction /spanspanwhile serving beverages to guest in the Lounge to ensure an enjoyable stay. All duties are to be /spanspanperformed in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures./span/pp/ppbspanROLE EXPECTATIONS/span/b/ppspanResponsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:/span/pullispanGreets and welcomes all guests in a pleasant and professional manner./span/lilispanInitiates conversation with guests, while presenting menus, answering questions, and /spanspanmaking suggestions. /span/lilispanRequest primary beverage order in a timely friendly and courteous manner./span/lilispanActively take orders, give suggestions, conduct full and complete wine/beverage service, /spanspanand monitor guests’ experience. /span/lilispanKeep assigned areas clean and clear of glasses, bottles, etc./span/lilispanContinuously seek service opportunities./span/lilispanRespond to and resolve guest complaints./span/lilispanExhibit proper knowledge of menu items, wine lists, including ingredients, and preparation /spanspanof cocktails, selling techniques and service delivery of all menu items. /span/lilispanAnswer guest questions and possess knowledge about property events and attractions./span/lilispanPerform all side work at the assigned station, including stocking, cleaning and resetting of /spanspanstation. /span/lilispanProvide fast (20 minutes or less round time), friendly, professional beverage service to /spanspanlounge guests; carry full trays on every round./span/lilispanTake drink orders, communicate with the bartender, assist in the preparation of drinks, and /spanspanpresent drinks to guests./span/lilispanRing and itemize bills correctly, efficiently secure payment and handle money according to /spanspanprocedures./span/lilispanMonitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines./span/lilispanServe as an ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations /spanspanfunctions; appear in publicity photos./span/lilispanPromote casino events and programs./span/lilispanCollaborate closely with the Rio Rewards teams to promote new card sign-up programs./span/lilispanWork well with others, especially servers, bartenders, barbacks, the beverage /spanspanmanagement./span/lilispanProvide personalized service and use guests#39; names./span/lilispanResolve service problems according to guidelines./span/lilispanMeets the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and /spanspancompany policies./span/li/ulp/ppbspanSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES/span/b/ppspanThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities./span/pp/ppbspanREQUIREMENTS/span/b/pullispanAt least 21 years of age. /span/lilispanHigh school diploma or equivalent./span/lilispanOne-year previous high volume cocktail experience/span/lilispanStrong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer and craft cocktails. /span/lilispanMust possess excellent customer service and communication skills./span/lilispanMust be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly /spanspanmanner./span/lilispanMust present a professional and pleasant appearance that guests will find appealing and /spanspanapproachable in order to engage in conversation./span/lilispanMust be able to work any day of the week and scheduled shift./span/lilispanMust be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team./span/lilispanMust present a well-groomed appearance./span/lilispanWork requires knowledge of tray service and cocktail ingredients./span/lilispanWork requires schedule flexibility which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and /spanspanovertime as needed./span/li/ulp/ppbspan​/spanspanPREFERRED/span/b/pullispanMinimum of one-year customer service experience in a previous position, where the /spanspanprimary job duty is direct customer service./span/li/ulp/ppbspanCERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS/span/b/pullispanMust be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local /spanspanregulations. /span/li/ulp/ppbspanPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/span/b/pullispanMust be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines./span/lilispanMust regularly lift and/move up 30 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, /spanspanbend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as /spanspanconfined spaces./span/li/ulp/ppbspanWORKING CONDITIONS/span/b/pullispanWork is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and exposed to various /spanspanenvironmental factors such as but not limited to noise, dust, and smoke./span/li/ulp/ppispanRio Las Vegas is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in /spanspanthe workplace.
