pstrongEssential Functions and Basic Duties/strongbr /strongPosition Specific Performance Expectations:/strongbr /o Greeting patients in person and on the phone in a friendly and courteous manner.br /o Obtain and verify patient informationbr /o Answer and direct incoming calls.br /o Accurately admits/registers patients for all services performed at MRH.br /o Time of service collections of co-pays and such as needed.br /o Process all returned mail.br /o Act as a liaison between patient, families, physicians and care team.br /o Participates in interdepartmental process improvements and process evaluation efforts.br /o Acts as an internal consultant and educator to hospital staff in area of expertise.br /o Strive to ensure continual compliance with Patient Access Department policies and procedures.br /o Can identify and access system to report abuse to employees and/or patients.br /o Establishes a good rapport and working relationship with other departments.br /o Coordinates insurance, preauthorization, benefits verification and pre-registration activities.br /o Prioritizes workload and completes assignments within allotted time.
