pspan style="font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 10pt;"In support of the Agency's mission, the Family Support Teacher is responsible for promoting and maintaining an elevated level of parent engagement and the delivery of family support services to encourage the greater self-sufficiency of all Head Start families. Works in collaboration with other classroom staff to provide a high-quality education services in a learning environment that includes meaningful experiences to prepare children ages 3-5 years for success in school environments. This position provides a major link between the Head Start program, community and the families it serves. /span/p
pspan style="font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 10pt;"Responsibilities also include knowledge of and compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, Agency/Head Start Policies and Procedures, Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care (DELC) regulations, and Spark/QRIS standards. Acceptable coursework would be a minimum of 30 quarter college credits or 20 semester college credits in at least 5 Core Knowledge Categories (as defined by Oregon Registry). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Transcripts, diplomas and/or Oregon Registry Step Certificates are required to validate educational requirements. /span/li
