pThe Ride Maintenance Technician I position is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance for all designated rides./p

pstrongSummary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities/strong/p
ul
lispanResponsible for preventive and corrective maintenance for individual or groups of attractions rides and other equipment typically utilized in theme park attractions including but not limited to: troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, systems animation and special effects/span/li
lispanInspections include testing, verification and/or calibration of applicable mechanical systems/span/li
lispanRespond to downtime, repair and ride recovery issues/span/li
lispanDiagnose system failures and provide immediate correction actions. Research defective mechanically-controlled items/parts and instructional information to complete the repair process when needed/span/li
lispanTroubleshoot by referring to technical manuals and technical library while utilizing a systematic approach/span/li
lispanAssist in assembly and disassembly for annual inspections and ensure verification of quality control/NDT requirements have been met/span/li
lispanInput in log books: completion of inspections, corrective action and/or repairs made, and lists applicable parts used/span/li
lispanSupport Ride Maintenance Technician II or III on modifications to ride vehicles or show equipment/span/li
lispanLearn and actively participate in Environmental, Health Safety responsibilities by following established Dollywood policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities/span/li
lispanConsistently practice safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, safe lifting practices and reporting of unsafe situations./span/li
lispanKeep all records up to date and current in an accessible, organized fashion. (i.e. logbooks, inspection forms, etc.)/span/li
lispanEnsure that the ride is clean and visually in compliance with manufacturer’s specifications, guest and Dollywood expectations/span/li
lispanObtain knowledge and understanding of ride parts inventory for assigned area/span/li
lispanNotify the Foreman or Supervisor of any materials necessary to ensure safe, continuous operation/span/li
lispanClean maintenance shop, stations, equipment, and tools/span/li
lispanManagement reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time/span/li
lispanTasks involve the regular and at times sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work. This typically involves some combination of balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Tasks may also involve the lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderately heavy weight (up to 50 pounds) and occasionally heavier weight (up to 100 pounds)/span/li
lispanMust possess the mental and physical capabilities necessary to perform the primary job duties, including climbing and working at heights up to and in excess of 150ft., crawling, and working in confined spaces/span/li
lispanWhile performing the duties of this job, the individual may be regularly expected to work near moving mechanical parts. Risk of electrical shock; and/or vibration./span/li
lispanAbility to use hand tools and power tools such as electric drill, drill press, side grinder, porta-band, reciprocating saw, electric hoist, chain saw, band saw, jig saw, torque wrench, and impact wrench/span/li
lispanMust possess strong safety sensitivity and ability to work with many different types of mechanical devices/span/li
lispanConsistent attendance is a job requirement/span/li

lispanMust be at least 18 years of age/span/li
lispanHigh school degree or GED is required/span/li
lispanExperience in the theme park industry is preferred but not required/span/li
lispanWorking knowledge of the proper utilization and care of hand and power tools and maintenance equipment/span/li
lispanWorking knowledge and experience with dial indicators, inside and outside micrometers and dial calipers is preferred but not required/span/li
lispanValid driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance is required for use of company vehicles/span/li
lispanAbility to read/write, comprehend instructions and communicate in English/span/li
lispanMust pass pre-employment drug test and background check/span/li
