Unit Clerk - ARH Advanced Care, Inc.

Overview: p style="margin: 0px;"The Unit Clerk is responsible for efficient and courteous communication for the nursing unit, as well as serving as monitor tech for the facility./p Responsibilities: p style="margin: 0px;"MAJOR ACTIVITIES/pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"· Serves as general receptionist for the nursing unit, operates communication systems, and provides general information concerning the hospital and/or patient’s condition in accordance with hospital and HIPAA guidelines./pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"· Maintains a roster of inpatients by name, bed number, and reports daily on admissions and discharges./pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"· Monitors telemetry monitoring equipment and advises nursing staff of any identified issues./pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"· Operates various office equipment./pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"· Contacts other departments, physician offices or others for information necessary to properly provide patient care./pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"· Operates computer systems/pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"· Attend workshops pertaining to position to stay abreast of constant changes/pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"· Performs other related duties as assigned./p Qualifications: p style="margin: 0px;"Education/pp style="margin: 0px;"· High School diploma or GED equivalent/pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities/pp style="margin: 0px;"· Must be proficient in secretarial skill, Windows, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and other computer skills./pp style="margin: 0px;"· Experience in cardiac monitoring preferred. Must pass cardiac monitoring prior to starting in hospital./pp style="margin: 0px;"· One year experience in an office or one year business school education desired./pp style="margin: 0px;"· Past experience in dealing with the public is desired./p
