This full-time, 12-month, hourly position supports the daily operations and long-term upkeep of our academic and athletics buildings./p pAs a Facilities Technician, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that values follow-through, craftsmanship, and flexibility. The ideal candidate has experience in general maintenance or landscaping and takes pride in creating safe, functional, and well-maintained spaces, but we’re also open to training the right person who brings a strong work ethic and readiness to grow./p pThe standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with occasional overtime or weekend work required for snow removal, athletics events, and other campus activities./p pstrongResponsibilities/strong/p ul liPerform general maintenance tasks and repairs across:/li ul liHVAC (filter changes, basic support)./li liPlumbing (minor fixes, fixture replacements)./li liElectrical (lighting, outlets, general troubleshooting)./li liCarpentry and painting./li liFurniture assembly and mounting./li /ul liSupport event operations by preparing rooms, setting up furniture, and assisting with logistics./li liHelp maintain and troubleshoot systems such as fire alarms, card readers, sprinklers, and intercoms./li liParticipate in grounds support strongas needed/strong, including:/li ul liMowing, planting, trimming, and seasonal cleanups./li liBasic equipment maintenance and repair./li liAthletic field support (lining, cleanup, turf prep)./li /ul liRespond to work orders and collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure facilities needs are met promptly and professionally./li liContribute to snow removal efforts and other weather-related campus needs./li /ul pstrongQualifications/strong/p pstrongRequired:/strong/p ul liHigh school diploma or equivalent./li liValid driver’s license./li liAbility to walk, stand, or crouch for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs./li liAbility to work independently, take direction, and contribute to a team environment./li liPositive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn./li /ul pstrongPreferred but not required:/strong/p ul liPrior experience in general facilities maintenance or building repair./li liFamiliarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment./li liExperience with strongcarpentry, cabinetry, fabrication, or related trades./strong/li liWorking knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems./li liComfort working in a school, campus, or community-oriented setting./li /ul pstrongWe welcome applicants with military backgrounds, trade school training, or prior experience in hospitality, athletics, or campus maintenance roles./strong These pathways often bring valuable hands-on knowledge, adaptability, and a team-first mindset that aligns well with this position./p pstrongQualified candidates are invited to apply online at /stronga href="https://www.pingry.org/careers"stronghttps://www.pingry.org/careers/strong/astrong.nbsp;/strong/p pThe hourly rate range for this position is $18 to $30 per hour.
