You'll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes./ppA great Prep Cook will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. You will be deft and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team./ppbr//ppstrongResponsibilities:/strong/pulliFollow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties/liliLabel and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible/liliMeasure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking/liliPrepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc./liliUndertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc./liliPrepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc./liliMaintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc./liliEnsure all food and other items are stored properly/liliComply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines/liliPerform other kitchen duties as assigned/li/ulpstrongSkills and Qualifications:/strong/pulliProven experience as strongprep cook/strong/liliKnowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen/liliManual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils/liliA team player with good communication skills/liliPatient with an ability to stay positive under pressure/liliVery good physical condition and endurance/li/ulpWe are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified individuals./ppRequirements/ppstrongPhysical requirements:/strong/pulliContinuous walking and other means of mobility up to 8 hours a day/liliAbility to reach, bend, stoop, push/pull and frequently lift/move up to 30 poundsnbsp;/li/ulpbr//p
