The ideal candidate will perform routine and preventive maintenance, conduct vehicle repairs, and manage material movement within the warehouse.strongnbsp;/strong/p pstrongemSHIFT: Monday - Friday 8am -5pm, some weekends/em/strong/p pstrongemPay: $22.50/hr/em/strong/p pstrongnbsp;Responsibilities:/strong/p ul liOversee and execute advanced repair and diagnostic tasks to ensure optimal maintenance and functionality of the fleet./li liLead and coordinate extensive vehicle repairs, including the disassembly and refurbishment of Bird vehicles./li liMaintain proactive and effective communication with supervisors, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and successes in the service center./li liCollaborate with team members and provide guidance, while also demonstrating the ability to work autonomously when required./li liManage material movement, including scooters and inventory, within the warehouse efficiently and accurately./li /ul pstrongSafety:/strong/p ul liMaintain a safe and clean warehouse compliant to OSHA standards/li liChampion a culture of safety in the workplace/li liAddress and investigate safety incidents as applicable in a timely manner according to company standards/li /ul pstrongQuality:/strong/p ul liFollow established safety procedures to ensure Bird riders are on the safest vehicles/li liUphold the Bird standard of quality on vehicle repair, maintenance, and refurbishment/li /ul pstrongProductivity:/strong/p ul liSustain deployed fleet targets in market/li liCreate Mechanic shift schedules and ensure adequate mechanic team coverage/li liOnboard, train, and lead a team of Mechanics while assigning daily tasks as needed and ensuring workflow is efficient./li liSet and uphold standards for productivity: repairs and book time/li liPerformance management mechanics to address issues with productivity, attendance, or attitude. Provide feedback to the management team on team performance./li liModel and promote a culture of teamwork and hustle/li /ul pstrongInventory management/strongstrong:/strong/p ul liManage vehicle inventory processes such as check-in, scrap, and hard counts/li liCycle charge in-warehouse vehicles to prevent battery degradation during storage/li liAudit and maintain healthy levels of spare parts and tools to ensure team productivity/li /ul pstrongReporting:/strong/p ul liEnsure work order compliance across creation, repair logging, and quality checks throughout the vehicle repair lifecycle/li liAccurately track and report productivity numbers and KPIs daily/li liAll other duties as assigned/li /ul pnbsp;/p pstrongRequirements:/strong/p ul li1-2 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role in a high-growth, fast-paced environment./li liPassion for technology and vehicles, with a strong understanding of hand tools and repair processes./li liProficiency in using smartphone apps and navigating digital platforms./li liStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt and learn quickly./li liExcellent time management, organizational, and communication skills./li liAbility to handle physical tasks, including bending, stooping, and lifting up to 40 pounds frequently./li liFlexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, with a focus on maintaining a clean and organized work station./li liAbility to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day./li liExperience in mechanical repair, logistics, warehousing, or inventory management is preferred./li /ul pstrongPreferred Qualifications:/strong/p ul linbsp;Previous mechanical or related experience./li linbsp;Background in delivery/transportation, logistics, warehousing, or inventory management./li /ul pnbsp;/p pstrongCulture at Bird/strong/p pWe're an ambitious, smart and open-minded team that is passionate about our mission.
