Flexibility, strong customer service skills, and knowledge of safety and first aid procedures are key to success in this position./p pstrongEssential Job Functions: /strong/p ul liProvide friendly and helpful service to guests, including greeting, answering questions, and providing directions as needed./li liSharing accurate and up-to-date information about available Zoo experiences, attractions, and amenities./li liMonitoring multiple stations including parking, reception, and buildings./li liControlling/monitoring entry to Zoo parking lots, including handling card or cash transactions as necessary./li liGuiding vehicles to designated parking spaces and managing traffic flow to prevent congestion./li liPatrol the Zoo parking areas and Zoo grounds and enforce Zoo policies and procedures to ensure the safety of the animals, guests, and employees./li liAddress guest concerns and complaints, using appropriate strategies to resolve issues and ensure guest satisfaction./li liProvide first-aid and coordinate emergency response when necessary./li liCommunicate incident details to management effectively, including submitting accurate and detailed incident reports in a timely manner./li liThorough understanding of all emergency plans, safety and operating procedures/standards-especially with regard to handling guests and maintaining service if an emergency or other issue arises./li /ul pstrongMinimum Education and Experience: /strong/p ul liHigh school diploma or equivalent./li li1 year of relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job./li /ul pstrongPreferred Education and Experience: /strong/p ul liPrevious work experience in entertainment, sports or hospitality organization and involvement in a guest-facing capacity./li /ul pstrongCompetencies: /strong/p ul liGuest Focus./li liOral and Written Communication./li liTeamwork Orientation./li liStress Management/Composure./li liProblem Solving./li liTime Management./li liFlexibility./li liAttention to Detail./li /ul pstrongSupervisory Responsibility: /strongNone./p pstrongReporting Structure: /strongReports to Guest Services Manager, Guest Services Lead./p pstrongPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work: /strong/p pSeasonal positions are defined as temporary work to meet an organization’s temporary needs during certain times of the year and can last up to 6 months. This position can be scheduled to work approximately up to 40 hours per week. Scheduling is at the discretion of the manager.
