Assists in developing and directing team to provide consistent, high quality service./p pnbsp;/p pstrongCANDIDATE PROFILE/strong/p pnbsp;/p pstrongEducation and Experience/strong/p p• High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in the event management, food and beverage, or related professional area./p pnbsp;/p pstrongCORE WORK ACTIVITIES/strong/p pnbsp;/p pstrongSupporting Management of Department Operations and Inventories/strong/p p• Assists in managing departmental inventories and assets including par levels and maintenance of equipment./p p• Maintains attendance log for banquet employees./p p• Maintains and enforces established sanitation levels./p p• Adheres to and reinforces all standards, policies, and procedures (SOPs, LSOPs, etc.)./p p• Ensures employee awareness of the event phase portion of the Meeting Planner Survey and Guest Satisfaction Scores./p p• Orders supplies for the department (e.g., china, glass, silver, buffet presentations, props, and other service equipment needs)./p p• Uses banquet beverage “Use” records to guide banquet beverage supervisor in controlling liquor costs, managing the banquet beverage perpetual inventory and requisitioning liquor./p p• Understands the impact Banquet operations has on the overall success of an event and manages activities to maximize customer satisfaction./p p• Assists in scheduling banquet service staff to forecast and service standards, while maximizing profits./p pnbsp;/p pstrongParticipating in and Assisting in Leading Banquet Teams/strong/p p• Attends and participates in all pertinent meetings./p p• Leads shifts and actively participates in the servicing of events./p p• Applies and continually broadens knowledge of food and wine pairings and cutting edge cuisine, and overall event presentation./p pnbsp;/p pstrongProviding and Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service/strong/p p• Sets a positive example for guest relations./p p• Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels./p p• Responds to and handles guest problems and complaints./p p• Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service./p p• Strives to improve service performance./p pnbsp;/p pstrongConducting Human Resources Activities/strong/p p• Supports a departmental orientation program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job./p p• Ensures employees understand expectations and parameters./p p• Observes service behaviors of employees and provides feedback to individuals./p p• Reviews comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees./p p• Communicates and executes departmental and property emergency procedures and ensures staff are trained in safety procedures./p pnbsp;/p pThe hourly pay range for this position is $27.88nbsp;to $38.94.
