Your Role as a Maintenance Manager:
  • Manage Work Orders & Repairs - Receive, prioritize, and complete maintenance requests within established response and closure timelines. Perform routine and corrective maintenance across building systems, including HVAC/MEP, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting/drywall, doors and locks, and minor roofing repairs. Document all work performed, parts used, and follow-up actions in the CMMS or work-order system.
  • Execute Preventive Maintenance & Ensure Safety Compliance - Carry out preventive maintenance schedules and inspections, identifying hazards and escalating remediation needs. Support compliance with safety, fire, and health regulations, prepare spaces for inspections, and assist with corrective actions.
  • Coordinate Vendors & Projects - Meet vendors and contractors on site, provide scope details, and confirm work meets specifications. Escalate issues to the Regional Director of Facilities as needed. Obtain quotes, make recommendations, and place approved orders within assigned limits.
  • Oversee Inventory, Parts, and Equipment - Track and request replenishment of critical spare parts and supplies. Maintain tools and shop areas in safe, organized condition. Operate lifts and other equipment safely, maintaining logs as required.
  • Provide Customer Service & Communication - Keep school leaders informed on work status, potential downtimes, and safety considerations. Offer practical solutions and scheduling options to minimize disruption to instructional time.
  • Lead by Example in Safety & Skill Sharing - Train peers on safe work practices and proper equipment use. Share technical knowledge and act as an on-site point of contact when the Regional Director of Facilities is offsite.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade/vocational training and relevant
    certifications preferred.
  • 3+ years of hands-on building maintenance/repair (school or multi-site preferred).
