Assembly Welder (MIG Welder)

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Welder (MIG Welder) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG welding and general trailer assembly, with a strong eye for detail and commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding operations on steel components used in boat trailer frames and assemblies.

• Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols to assemble trailers to specification.

• Accurately measure, cut, and position steel components prior to welding.

• Use hand tools, grinders, and power tools to clean, fit, and prepare surfaces for welding and finishing.

• Assemble trailer parts such as axles, tongues, cross-members, fenders, bunks, and winch stands.

• Inspect and test completed welds and assemblies for structural soundness and quality.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all company safety policies and procedures.

• Assist in other production and fabrication duties as needed.

• Communicate with team members and supervisors to identify issues and improve production flow.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting (trailer experience preferred).

• Ability to read technical drawings and tape measurements accurately.

• Knowledge of welding techniques, materials, tools, and equipment.

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills.
