The Master Scheduler will coordinate schedules, inventories, equipment, and people to ensure efficient and effective operation of the manufacturing process at two production sites.
Position Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain the master production schedule based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and capacity constraints.
• Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.
• Works cross functionally through all departments in the organization and manages any conflict.
• Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and program teams to balance supply and demand to best serve client needs.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand, material availability, or production issues.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements to enhance throughput and reduce lead times.
• Ensure alignment of production schedules with inventory targets and delivery deadlines.
• Generate and present regular reports on schedule adherence, production performance, and capacity planning.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in production planning and scheduling processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.
Skills & Abilities:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Thorough understanding of the Aerospace and Defense industry and supply chain.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Deep understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and supply chain management (SCM) systems and supporting technologies. IFS experience preferred.
• Familiarity with government contracting.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Operations Management experience with specific detailed knowledge of manufacturing planning, materials management, and materials requirement planning.
• At least five years of experience in Aerospace and Defense required.
• Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) preferred.
Work Environment:
• Office Environment: Requires physical capability to work in an office environment including sit/stand up to 9 hours a day and use basic office tools such as a computer, copier/printer, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Hours: 1st Shift with additional hours as needed to meet demand. Occasional off-shift hours may also be required to provide support to operations.
• 9/80 work schedule.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Office located in Lititz, PA, with occasional visited to Lancaster facility.
