Job Description
The General Production Worker will receive direction from the shop lead to prioritize tasks effectively. This role involves receiving parts from various sections of the production line, ensuring their cleanliness, and transporting them to pre-assembly. The worker will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe workspace, including cleaning out scrap bins and emptying trash at their workstation as needed. Additionally, the role includes notifying maintenance when machinery breakdowns occur and completing other tasks as directed, including cross-training in other areas of the shop.
Responsibilities- Receive direction from shop lead on work priorities.
- Ensure parts cleanliness through washing, blasting, and sandblasting.
- Transport parts to pre-assembly efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness by emptying scrap bins and trash at workstations.
- Inform maintenance of machinery breakdowns.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Engage in cross-training across various shop areas.
- Experience in production and general labor tasks.
- Proficiency in washing, blasting, and sandblasting parts.
- Basic automotive or mechanical skills.
- Familiarity with and ability to use power tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Willingness to cross-train in other areas of the shop.
This role is situated within a manufacturing environment that includes an assembly line dedicated to transmission tear downs. Additionally, the environment incorporates a warehouse setting where products are received and shipped, providing a dynamic and engaging work atmosphere.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
