American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for an inpatient rehab position at a hospital in California, with flexibility to float between inpatient, acute rehab, and outpatient settings.

- Hospital-based position within an inpatient rehab unit, with the ability to float between inpatient, acute rehab unit (ARU), and outpatient rehab as needed \n
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00–16:30) \n
- Friday through Tuesday work week \n
- 13-week contract \n
- \n
- Current CA Physical Therapist license required (license required if applicable) \n
- Current BLS certification required \n
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required \n
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program required \n
- Experience in acute care and inpatient rehab settings required \n
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates \n

- Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and implementing individualized physical treatment programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore physical function \n
- Develops and updates patient Plans of Care (POC) based on evaluation findings and clinical diagnosis \n
- Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team members and other healthcare providers \n
- Provides clinical supervision to PT assistants and aides, and may serve as a clinical instructor for students \n
- Participates in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary projects \n
- Must maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) \n
- Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract \n
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler \n
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year are required for consideration \n
