Job Description
Essential Duties:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in emergency vehicles.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure vehicles are operating safely and efficiently and provide technical support as needed.
• Repair or replace electrical components, including wiring, switches, and lights.
• Install new 12VDC and 120VAC electrical systems and components.
• Inspect and maintain existing electrical systems for safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with technicians and mechanics to ensure vehicle readiness.
• Troubleshoot and repair low-voltage electrical systems.
• Provide technical assistance to customers and internal teams.
• Stay current with evolving electrical technologies and industry best practices.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company safety protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience with electrical wiring and systems.
• Strong working knowledge of 12VDC and 120VAC electrical systems.
• Demonstrated skill in diagnosing and troubleshooting low voltage systems.
• Proficient with common hand and power tools.
• Familiar with standard wiring practices and safety codes.
ADA Requirements:
• Stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, reach or otherwise move for extended periods of time.
• Occasional repetitive motion and grasping
• Occasional climbing to reach areas.
• Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs occasionally, >20 lbs frequently.
• Typically sits, grasp items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer.
• Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protection.
