Electronics Maintenance Technician II

Essential Responsibilities:
The Electronics Technician Maintenance II applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes. The Electronics Technician Maintenance work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits; exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses; calculating wave forms. This worker will also be responsible for tracing relationships in signal flow and using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment. The work of an Electronics Maintenance Technician II may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. The Electronics Maintenance Technician II position may provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of U.S. Army procedures and logistics information systems.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to perform various production control activities including gathering and filing records, reporting on use of materials, and monitoring customer requests.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day.
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
- Must be able to type using a standard keyboard to communicate through e-mail and various software applications.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull minimum of 30 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a shop where the environment is drafty, noisy, and dirty.
- May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
- Must have or be able to obtain a forklift license.
