Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist

TEMPORARY PART-TIME Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist (8-9 MONTHS)

AVISTA Medical Center provides exceptional Family Primary Care and medical services and seeks a high-quality medical assistant/phlebotomist to join its team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities include helping patients with professional medical services, sharing and gathering information, securing and updating medical records, rooming patients, performing vitals, performing phlebotomy, stocking and inventorying medical supplies, answering phones, and checking voicemails.

Experience Preferred (willing to train suitable candidates) - front and back office, computer, and EMR, insurance verification, collecting payments, phlebotomy, medical history, medication list, injections, EKG, urinalysis, spirometry, lab orders, cleanup/setup procedures, and autoclave.

Physical Requirements: Standing and sitting for long periods, repetitive finger motion while using a keyboard and phone, opening doors, assisting (supporting) patients, and lifting small boxes.

Individual Requirements - A professional level of personal hygiene, reliable transportation, respect for patient rights, and the ability to adequately communicate with patients, providers, and staff.
