Delivery Driver-Stay On Bonus

People with relative experience for this position can expect a starting wage that ranges from $23+ per hour. Those who have the desire to get better will excel in our on-the-job training efforts. A STAY-ON BONUS OF $1,500 is being offered to workers who are experienced in driving a large box truck, making deliveries of similar product (cabinets, furniture, appliances, NOT food), and job site/home delivery experience.

Our delivery workers are the face of our company to customers, contractors, and the general public. Professionalism in conduct, demeanor, safe and responsible driving is of key importance.

The delivery function of this role includes:

• Loading cabinets from the factory floor onto company trucks
• Driving to delivery location—usually a home construction site
• Coordinating and cooperating with the other tradesman at job sites
• Carrying cabinets into the home

Visual assessment of the delivery site is necessary to determine hazards. Timely deliveries are necessary to accomplish schedule commitments while maintaining low operating costs of equipment and managing labor cost efficiency.

Carrying our product into the correct location is typically coordinated with the builder's job site supervisor, or by referencing a blue print of the home layout.

Our drivers:

• Are responsible to conduct the DOT daily vehicle inspections each morning
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate English as it pertains to performing the job and in following safe practices and regulations
• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a proven driving record that complies with the company’s vehicle insurance coverage requirements
• Are required to obtain the MN DOT Med card
• Need to be able to safely lift and carry all product--some of which weighs more than 100 pounds and requires team lifting
• Need to be prepared to work in all weather conditions

The company most often schedules deliveries to be completed within normally scheduled workdays and work hours, but off-schedule conditions or busy times may necessitate that deliveries are made at times outside of the normal schedule occasionally.

When there are no deliveries to be made the opportunity to work in the shop occurs. The number of deliveries made each week will vary. Therefore, the number of hours worked in the shop will vary each week as well. The work performed in the shop could be any task that supports the production workload to make cabinets.

Some company highlights:

• We work only first shift
• Our typical work schedule is 10 hour or 9 hour shifts Monday through Thursday
  • 10 hr shifts: 6:00 to 4:30 pm
  • 9 hr shifts: 6:30 to 4:00 pm
• We stop early at 3:00 pm on Fridays
• We do weekly payroll
• We offer a training incentive program in which an additional $1.50 per hour can be earned
