Position Summary
Assist in the implementation of various recreation programs; provide assistance and information to program participants and perform related tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
Recreation - Assist in the implementation of various recreation programs; provide assistance and information to program participants and perform related tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
Office - Perform a variety of clerical tasks in support of assigned area and assist with basic sorting, filing and/or copying.
Labor - Perform manual labor tasks in support of assigned area and assist in general maintenance of a wide range of City facilities and operations. General maintenance or custodial experience preferred.
Some of these positions are safety sensitive positions and subject to random drug/alcohol testing.
This is an unclassified at-will position.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
Recreation - Must be at least 16 years old. Applicants 15 years of age may be eligible for the entry level position with a required work permit. Recreation program experience preferred.
Office - Must be at least 16 years old. Applicants 15 years of age may be eligible for the entry level position with a required work permit. Office and/or clerical support experience preferred.
Labor - Must be at least 16 years old. Applicants 15 years of age may be eligible for the entry level position with a required work permit. General maintenance or custodial experience preferred.

* Modern office procedures, methods and equipment including computers
* Basic principles and practices of record keeping
* Principles and procedures of clerical support
* Basic office procedures, methods and computer equipment
* Principles and procedures of filing
* Principles and procedures of semi-skilled manual labor
* General cleaning and maintenance techniques
* Operational characteristics of basic maintenance equipment and tools
* Occupational hazards and standard safety practices
Preferred Skills & Abilities
* Assist with implementing recreation programs
* Assist in providing information and assistance to program participants
* Learn methods and techniques of working with program participants
* Operate office equipment including computers
* Understand and follow oral and written instructions
* Communicate clearly and concisely
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
* Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
