Shipping & Receiving Associate

Role Summary

Support daily warehouse operations for the adidas campus by receiving, scanning, staging, and shipping packages. Split time 50/50 between desk work and floor activity. Collaborate with a small team (3–4 people) to process ~200 packages/day, ensuring accuracy, speed, and great customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving: Unload common-carrier deliveries (FedEx/UPS/USPS/DHL/Amazon); scan tracking labels into the system; stage packages; load into the mail van for campus delivery; assist driver with unloading on campus.

• Shipping: Assist driver with campus pickups; transport outbound packages to the warehouse; scan into system; stage for afternoon carrier pickups.

• Process freight shipments as needed (receiving, prepping, staging).

• Maintain accurate logs, packing slips, and chain-of-custody; resolve basic exceptions.

• Keep dock and staging areas clean, safe, and organized; follow SOPs and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–2 years related experience preferred (warehouse/mail/shipping).

• Basic computer skills (MS Office—Outlook, Excel, Word); comfortable with handheld scanners/WMS.

• Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and packing methods; verify packing slips for accuracy.

• Troubleshooting/problem-solving mindset; able to follow written/visual work instructions.

• Excellent customer relations and clear verbal communication; reliable, flexible, and team-oriented.

• Valid driver’s license preferred for potential conversion; meets insurance/MVR standards per policy.

• (Nice to have) Working knowledge of copiers/office equipment and basic electronics.

Physical/Work Environment

• Frequent standing/walking; bending/reaching; maneuvering packages with carts/pallet jacks.

• Warehouse environment (noise, paper dust possible); follow PPE and safety guidelines.

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (up to 6 months; potential to convert to permanent)
Worksite: 6650 N. Basin Ave, Suite L, Dock 23 (Free on-site parking)
Driving: Not required as a temp; may be required if converted (valid DL/insurance per policy)
