Job Description
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field, active Deaf & Hard of Hearing (DHH) certification, and 1+ years Deaf & Hard of Hearing Specialist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time Teacher specializing in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) support is needed to provide vocational instruction for two K-12 students. This position is a contract role for the uping school year, based in Princeton, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver focused vocational DHH instruction to two students.
- Provide 40 minutes of instruction Monday through Thursday and 30 minutes on Friday.
- Accurately document and track 190 minutes (3.1 hours) of weekly instructional time.
- Collaborate with classroom staff and support services to address students individual needs.
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Experience working with K-12 students with hearing impairments.
- Ability to effectively municate and support vocational skill development.
- Strong organizational skills for managing a part-time schedule.
