Were looking for a detail-driven, highly organized professional to support our mobile railcar repair sites. In this role, youll help keep operations running smoothly by ensuring compliance with Association of American Railroads (AAR) standards, managing inventory, and coordinating purchasing. Youll work closely with our management team making you a key player in maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency.
What Youll Do:
Ensure Quality & Compliance: Inspect repair work and documentation to meet AAR and company standards. Conduct audits, document findings, and follow up on corrective actions.
Manage Inventory: Monitor tools, parts, and materials at mobile repair sites, track usage, and conduct regular counts to prevent shortages.
Coordinate Purchasing: Source and order repair materials, maintain vendor relationships, and ensure parts meet AAR specifications.
Support Reporting: Keep accurate compliance, inventory, and purchasing records; prepare reports for management and audits.
Improve Processes: Recommend and help implement best practices for quality control, compliance, and inventory efficiency.
What Were Looking For:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
Experience with AAR rules and/or railcar repair operations is a plus (training available for the right candidate).
Ability to travel to multiple sites as needed.
