Job Description
The Physician Assistant provides high quality medical care to the patients of Upper Chesapeake Medical Center for our general surgery practice. Performs Patient History & Physical Examinations. Evaluates the medical status of general surgery patients. Writes orders under physicians supervision. Documents findings on appropriate designated forms. Assists surgeons in the OR.
Qualifications
Education
- 4 year / Bachelors Degree: Physician Assistant (Required)
- Masters Degree (Preferred)
Certification / Licensure / Registration
- BLS Certification (Required)
- HCCPA Re-certification exam every six years (Required)
- Physician Assistant (Required)
- Registration from Maryland State Board of Physician Quality Assurance (Required)
Experience and Skills
- 0 - 1 year Physician Assistant (Required)
- 2 - 4 years Physician Assistant (Preferred)
Required Skills: Strong critical care patient management experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills as well as effective written and oral communication skills. Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
