Burn Surgeon - Broward Health Medical Center

Broward Health Medical Center, a flagship hospital within one of the 10 largest public health systems in the nation, is seeking a skilled and experienced Burn Surgeon to join our dedicated team in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. This position offers the opportunity to work in a designated Level 1 Trauma Center serving a diverse and growing patient population across South Florida.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive surgical care to patients with thermal, chemical, electrical, and inhalation injuries.
• Participate in all phases of burn care, including resuscitation, operative management, critical care, wound management, and reconstruction.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including trauma surgeons, intensivists, plastic surgeons, nurses, rehabilitation specialists, and social workers. 
• Patriciate in resident and medical student education, as well as outreach and injury prevention programs.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, and protocol development.
• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled for the Burn Unit and Trauma services. 

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Burn Surgery.
• Current Florida medical license or ability to obtain.
• ATLS certification required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of post-fellowship burn surgery experience strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to lead within a collaborative clinical environment.
