We are Looking for:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Pain Management clinic in Pasadena, Texas. This is a full-time role (approximately 40 hours/week, 8 AM-5 PM) with no nights, no weekends, and no on call! The position is primarily outpatient, with the option to gain experience in inpatient settings for interested candidates. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with patients managing chronic and acute pain conditions, including musculoskeletal, neuropathic, and post-surgical pain.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients with chronic and acute pain, including back pain, joint pain, neuropathy, headaches, and post-operative pain
- Review imaging (MRI, CT, X-ray) and coordinate treatment plans under physician supervision
- Prescribe appropriate medications, including non-opioid and opioid therapies, in compliance with current guidelines
- Educate patients on multimodal pain management strategies
- Perform or assist with minor procedures (e.g., trigger point injections, joint injections - training provided)
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other specialists as needed
- Optional: Assist with inpatient pain consults and follow-ups (training provided)
