Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Lab Specialist - MLT to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform laboratory testing and analysis as a Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician
• Maintain current MLS/MLT certification through ASCP or AMT
• Work 8-10 hour day shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM
• Work every 3rd weekend as preferred schedule
• Utilize Epic Beaker and Wellsky laboratory information systems
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
• Maintain valid state licensure and certification verification
• Complete mandatory health screenings including fit testing and drug screening
• Obtain required vaccinations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, PPD/IGRA, Varicella, and Tdap
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist
• Adhere to facility code of conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Complete Joint Commission testing and educational requirements
• Participate in background checks and education verification processes
• Maintain color vision certification for laboratory work
• Complete annual physical and health statement requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
