Position Summary:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations across multiple locations, with a focus on keeping equipment reliable and minimizing downtime. Available 24x7 as Tier 2 responder coordinating closely with dispatch team. This role works closely with operations, marketing, and other departments to ensure equipment is available and functioning efficiently. The manager leads maintenance vendors and ensures their work aligns with company standards and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include coordinating with store operations, the Regional Manager, dispatch, the in-house maintenance team, and the parts warehouse to keep stores running smoothly. Success in this role requires strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage day-to-day maintenance operations for HVAC, refrigeration, food/beverage, fueling systems, general maintenance/plumbing/electrical trades.
2. Source, onboard, and manage third-party maintenance vendors for specialized trades, while ensuring vendors meet performance standards and safety requirements.
3. Review repair estimates, approve invoices, and track maintenance spend against budget targets.
4. Oversee maintenance work order system (e.g., ServiceChannel), ensuring accurate dispatching, timely completion, and documentation.
5. Support asset tagging and condition assessments to track equipment lifecycle and plan replacements.
6. Respond to and manage emergency facility issues, including fuel leaks, pump failures, storm damage, or HVAC outages, while coordinating with operations and Health & Safety teams to minimize business disruption.
7. Collaborate on capital projects for major replacements or store remodels.
8. Lead or support facility improvement projects, such as canopy upgrades, site drainage repairs, or remodels tracking timelines, budgets, and contractor performance from scope development through closeout.
9. Provide regular updates to leadership on maintenance performance, vendor issues, and capital needs.
10. Communicate with store teams regarding maintenance priorities, delays, and expectations.

Requirements
Minimum Education: High School or GED
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Experience: Extensive experience in maintenance (10+ years), management experience, strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems, and skills in budgeting and project management. Excellent organizational and communication skills. This role may require travel within the region to oversee multiple sites
Preferred Experience: 5-10 years of equivalent work experience. License or certification in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, construction supervisor, etc.). Demonstrated expert working knowledge of service station equipment. Management/project management training.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license.
