Document all results on the job inspection/repair forms.

• Photograph the complete motor to ensuring that all attached secondary equipment, terminal boxes, couplings, and any external damage that are visible.
• Rotate the shaft to check freedom of movement.
• Measure the shaft extension TIR.
• Megger test the windings: Primary windings minimum Megohms to ground values must be met before a test run can be accomplished.
• If any windings A.C. or D.C. comes in with less than 300 Megohms needs to have a recondition Dip.
• Remove all plugs, baffles, grease fittings before cleaning.
• Perform a full voltage NO-LOAD test run. Record the volts and current per phase, r.p.m., and collect vibration data in the horizontal, vertical, and axial position for each bearing location.
• Perform a single-phase rotor test and count the number of bars.
• Check the Motor feet flatness. Coplanarity of .005", draft angle of 1.5 degree.
• Measure the value of all auxiliaries.
• Visually inspect all parts, auxiliaries, and secondary attachments for damage and or excessive wear.
• Record full part numbers for bearings, seals, R.T.D.'s, brakes, and brushes that are to be replaced during disassembly.
• Measure mechanical fits per the SKF Rebuilders Program Standards.
• Store parts on a pallet marked with the job number.
