Border Enforcement Specialist - Full-time / Part-time

The U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) is a federal law enforcement agency with exciting opportunities for those who want to serve and protect America.

Duty assignments may include the Southwest Border, and relocation may be required based on operational needs.

Compensation and Benefits

Overtime: Up to 25% additional pay

This is a career ladder position progressing from GL-9 to GS-11 to GS-12. You may be promoted after 52 weeks at each level without reapplying.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct questioning and inspect documents and property
• Apprehend undocumented individuals or smugglers using covert surveillance and infrared scopes
• Track and interpret signs of illegal entry
• Perform farm, traffic, building, city, and transport checks
• Patrol areas using vehicles, horses, boats, ATVs, snowmobiles, or motorcycles
