Job Description:

The RN in the Neuro ICU will provide care for patients with critical care neuro diagnoses, including procedures like cranis, brain tumor removals, and complicated spine surgeries. Candidates must have Level 1 Trauma and EVD experience, as well as strong neuro assessment skills. The role includes floating to MS/Tele floors as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Neuro ICU with a 1:2 ratio.
• Participate in SIMs Lab training for skills including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
• Float to MS/Tele floors as needed and maintain patient care standards.

Requirements:

• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Level 1 Trauma experience and 2 years ICU experience in a large hospital setting.
• 3-6 months of travel experience preferred.
• Must pass the DYS exam and undergo a pass/fail exam on Day 1 of orientation.
• Nurses must have natural hair color and no facial piercings; men must be clean-shaven for fit tests.
