Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department is responsible for delivering care to a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics. The role requires proficiency in handling various medical emergencies in a Level III trauma center.
Responsibilities:
- Barcode scanning med administration
- Managing medication drips and blood product administration
- Triage experience and participation in trauma and code cases
- Management of various medical devices including chest tubes, art lines, and bipap/vents
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a large volume ED with high acuity patients
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
- Experience with pediatric emergency medicine is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system is required
