Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the PCU is responsible for providing care to adult patients with primarily oncology and trauma diagnoses. This includes monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Care for patients in both Oncology PCU and Trauma PCU.
• Administer chemotherapy, heparin, cardizem, and protonix.
• Titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem.
• Document patient care in the EPIC EMR system.
• Participate in patient care rounds and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Follow hospital policies, including the prohibition of artificial nails.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license.
• 1 year of PCU and Oncology nursing experience preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Willingness to float to MedSurg and PCU units as needed.
• Driver's license required at submittal to determine geographical radius compliance.
• Compliance with hospital's fingernail policy and pass an orientation exam with at least 90%.
