Job Description:

The RN in the ICU will be responsible for providing comprehensive emergency care to critically ill patients. This role requires the nurse to administer medications, assist in procedures, and provide emotional support to patients and their families. Collaboration with medical teams is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Monitor and interpret patient vitals.
• Collaborate with physicians and other hospital staff to manage patients' care.
• Prepare patients and assist with patient procedures and examinations.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation.

Requirements:

• 2 years of recent ICU experience required.
• Valid driver's license for radius rule compliance.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Ability to pass an open book skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%.
• Adhere to department policies including a restriction on artificial nails.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting heart monitors.
