Role Summary:
The Operations Lead, Training & Implementation, is responsible for assisting in the development of internal knowledge systems that enhance team efficiency, increase productivity, and improve team retention, ultimately driving professional development and fostering alignment across our communities and departments.
Goals and Objectives:
- Streamline and improve upon training and implementation of Kiln Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- In partnership with other Operations team members, manage operational and maintenance needs across all sites.
- Strengthen team member effectiveness and collaboration in community sites.
- Accelerate growth in new markets through pre-launch strategy and new team member training.

- Operations team and Regional VPs
- Business Development and IT teams
- External partners and vendors
Major Responsibilities:
- Training and Implementation
- Lead the design, testing, and rollout of new and updated SOPs across all sites.
- Facilitate training sessions for new and existing team members, including during new site launches.
- Continuously collect site-level feedback to improve training content and knowledge delivery.
- Partner with the Director of Operations and Regional VPs to ensure team readiness and process consistency.
- Execution and Process Improvement
- Conduct regular site walkthroughs and audits to assess and refine operational performance.
- Act as a support partner to Community Teams in resolving issues with both short- and long-term solutions.
- Identify and document process gaps, driving improvements that enhance operational efficiency across all locations.
- People Operations
- Partner with People and Operations teams to deliver impactful onboarding experiences that set new team members up for long-term success.
- Act as a trusted resource for both new and tenured team members, offering clear guidance on policies and delivering targeted cross-functional training.
- Own the development and continuous refinement of SOPs that directly support team member engagement, growth, and retention.
- New Site Launches
- Lead operational preparation and training for opening teams at new Kiln locations.
- Ensure SOPs and technology systems are fully implemented and understood by on-site teams before member onboarding.
- Travel and serve as a boots-on-the-ground representative to troubleshoot and resolve early-stage launch issues.
Experience and Skills:
- 1-2+ years of experience training individuals in a professional or workplace setting.
- Internal hires only: 6+ months of employment at Kiln and manager approval.
- Willingness and ability to travel to all current and future Kiln locations.
- Fluency in general software platforms- including Google Workspace, CRMs, and Canva, with a sharp ability to learn new tools quickly and troubleshoot tech issues with confidence.

- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
