Employees may also be eligible for Shift Premium./p p /p pFor more information about benefits, click here to download the comprehensive benefits summary/p h2Requirements/h2 ul liHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred/li lip0 to 1 year in carpentry or construction background preferred/p/li lipAbility to comprehend basic math/p/li lipAbility to operate power tools in a safe manner/p/li lipMust be able to follow repair process/p/li lipMust be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis/p/li lipMust be able to use proper techniques to lift a minimum of 75 lbs/p/li lipCapable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day)/p/li lipAble to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements/p/li /ul p /p pstrongImportant Note: /strongSome positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned./p p /p h2Responsibilities/h2 ul lipSafely and securely repair pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner that meets company safety standards/p/li lipOperate a pry bar to detach damaged boards from the pallets/p/li lipOperate a hammer, grinder and a saw to remove existing nails and use a 25 lb nail gun to nail together the components/p/li lipManually lift 70 lb pallets from a stack to a repair table/p/li lipPallet must meet and pass CHEP's quality control audit/p/li lipMaintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area/p/li lipConduct operations in a manner which promotes safety/p/li lipComply with OSHA and MSDS Standards/p/li lipMust wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets/p/li liPerforms other duties as required/li /ul p /p pem /ememRyder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
