Diesel Mechanic - Full-time

Previous waste experience would be a huge iplus/i! /pp/ppMonday-Friday 8am start time typically working 10-12 hour shift with rotating Saturdays for extra OT./pp/ppStarting at $25.00 DOE/pp/ppGreat pay plus we offer family benefits, 401k, vacation, and year round work. OT/pp/ppspan class="emphasis-3"buDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:/u/b/span/pullipPerform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services. Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment./p/lilipUtilize vehicle computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs./p/lilipComplete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times./p/lilipReviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports./p/lilipConducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment./p/lilipPerforms service calls for emergency breakdowns./p/lilipMaintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards./p/li/ulp/ppspan class="emphasis-3"buWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:/u/b/span/pullipExtensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds./p/lilipWork environment may be indoors in a shop, or outdoors to repair containers in the yard. Usually well-lighted and ventilated. Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools.
