Is customer oriented and able to communicate with all levels of staff, patients, and their families. Serves as liaison between patient care units and all other departments. Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and/or unit./li/ulpustrongResponsibilities:/strong/u/pulliPerforms basic patient care responsibilities, including vital signs, skin care, and personal care, considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient's age./liliMaintains patient rooms in a clean and neat manner, keeping the patient's environment presentable and restocking areas as directed./liliConsistently demonstrates Hourly Rounding key behaviors./liliCollects and labels specimens (urine, stool and sputum) accurately and according to policy. Identifies and transports blood/blood components and specimens using appropriate blood borne pathogen precautions.
