Weekend and special event schedule should be expected during the vibrant season. Snow removal required during idle season. brbrstronguSeasonal Schedule:/u/strongbrVibrant Season: April to Novemberbr20-40 hours per week.brIdle Season: November-Aprilbr0-20 hours per week./ph2Position Duties/h2pPRIMARY:brPerforms general facilities maintenance.  Duties include cleaning restrooms, washing windows, floors and walls, emptying litter, and other janitorial work as instructed.brbrSECONDARY:brPerforms general outdoor maintenance work.  Assisting Groundskeeper with projects including:brul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"liLawn maintenance/liliWeeding/liliPruning/liliRaking/li/ulMaintains structures, walks, and ponds including:brul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"liPainting/liliPressure washing/liliAsphalt repair/li/ulMaintains written records and logs. brResponds to inquiries, requests and/or complaints from members of the public. brInstruct and/or assist volunteers or other assigned personnel in proper work techniques and methods as appropriate. brAssists in enforcement of park ordinances and park security. brOperate equipment necessary in the performance of duties in a safe and appropriate manner including:brul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"liMowers/liliString trimmers/liliSaws/liliDrills/liliPressure washer/liliPumps/liliGolf cart /li/ulLoads and unloads materials. brPerforms related functions as assigned./ph2Minimum Qualifications/h2pp class="MsoNormal"stronguEducation and Training:/u/strong/pul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"liHigh School Diploma preferred/liliExperience in facilities and grounds maintenance preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities./li/ulp class="MsoNormal"stronguLicenses and Certifications:/u/strong/pp class="MsoNormal"Valid Wisconsin Driver's License/p/ph2Other Qualifications/h2ppGeneral working knowledge of buildings and grounds maintenance. /ppbrGeneral knowledge of basic math and reading. /ppbrAbility to independently lift 50 lbs. /ppbrAbility to use hand and power tools. /ppbrAbility to operate trucks and power equipment. /ppbrAbility to work outdoors in a variety of conditions. /ppbrAbility to follow detailed instructions, which may be oral and/or written. /ppbrAbility to read and interpret a variety of maps.  /ppbrAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. /ppbrAbility to answer inquiries and complaints effectively with tact and courtesy. /ppbrAbility to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff and the public. /ppbrAbility to work the required hours of the position./p/p
