Files will be reviewed before interviews are scheduled./p pnbsp;/p pstrong***EMERGENCY HIRE***/strong/p pstrongTHIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FILLED, AFTER A MINIMUM OFnbsp;3 WORKING DAYS/strong/p pnbsp;/p pstrongPurpose Statement:/strong/p ul liResponsible fornbsp;assisting assigned teaching personnel in the supervision and instruction of special education students; performing classroom clerical tasks; and assisting students by meeting special health care needs and developing students' daily living and behavioral skills./li /ul pstrongEssential Functions:/strong/p ul liAdapts classroom work under the direction of the teacher for the purpose of providing a method to support and/or reinforce lesson plans./li liAssists in job coaching activities (e.g. work skills, filling out applications, preparing for interviews, following up on job leads, etc.) for the purpose of supporting teachers and promoting student success./li liAssists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities./li liConfers with parents for the purpose of assisting in evaluation of students' progress and/or implementing students' objectives as requested./li liDrives students for the purpose of providing transportation to/from interviews, job sites, etc./li liImplements under the supervision of the teacher, instructional behavioral programs in accordance with lesson plans for the purpose of assisting the teacher in improving students' academic success through a defined course of study./li liMaintains students' files/records for the purpose of documenting activities and/or providing reliable information./li liMonitors individual students, classroom, library, playground activities, etc. for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment./li liPerforms record keeping and clerical functions (e.g. scheduling, copying, etc.) for the purpose of supporting the teacher and/or administrator in providing records/materials./li lispan style="font-weight: 400;"Regular and reliable attendance is a necessary essential function of this job/span/li liAssists with daily living skills (e.g. toileting, changing diapers, feeding, personal hygiene, etc.) for the purpose of demonstrating skills and/or providing needed care./li /ul pstrongJob Requirements/Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities):/strong/p ul liSkills, Knowledge and Abilities/li liSKILLS are required to perform single, technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.
