Need to maintain the service and cleanliness of the bar area, ensuring quality service, guest satisfaction and control over liquor inventory./p h2Responsibilities/h2 ul liProcess guests’ checks, collect cash and process credit cards and room charges according to standards./li liPerform opening and closing side work according to standards to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently./li liPrepare beverages and cocktails according to the standards, for mixing, portion control and presentation./li liServe guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner./li liEnsure the lounge areas are kept clean and tidy./li liBe familiar with the computer system./li liCarry out cashiering functions by closing checks and servicing the guest./li liFollow all state liquor laws./li liAssist in maintaining beverage cost./li liFollow prescribed procedures in serving liquor with care to avoid problems with intoxicated guests, and when necessary report to management./li liComplete beverage requisitions to maintain par levels as needed. (bottle for bottle method)/li liStock and clean glassware./li liCheck soda tanks to ensure that they are full and secured properly to the bar./li liPrepare all garnishes./li liAssist in cleaning of tables and all lounge area as needed./li liEnsure overall guest satisfaction./li /ul h2Qualifications/h2 ul liHigh school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred./li liMust be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages, according to local state laws./li liFlexible and long hours sometimes required./li liMedium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects./li liAbility to stand for the entire shift./li liPrevious bartending experience helpful./li liMust be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests./li liMust be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines./li liMaximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions./li /ul p /p
