pstrongspanPosition Title:/span/strongspan Sports Field Grounds Crew/span/p pstrongspanHourly Rate: /span/strongspan$16.70/span/p pstrongspanTell me more…../span/strong/p pspanThe City of Peoria seeks to hire multiple people for our Sports Field Grounds Crew in the Parks and Recreation department to perform a variety of semi-skilled tasks related to the reconditioning of baseball fields and turf maintenance, while assisting with the maintenance of facilities and grounds during various events and activities throughout the year. This is accomplished by assisting higher-level maintenance staff with the preparation and maintenance of baseball fields, grounds, and related facilities./span/p pstrongspanEssential Functions:/span/strong/p ul lispanPrepare and maintain baseball fields, bullpens and related facilities utilizing a variety of hand and power tools, including edgers and weed eaters./span/li lispanAssist with turf maintenance, including resodding, power washing and power brooming edges./span/li lispanAssist with reconditioning of fields, including mounds, home plates, base passes, infield edges, replacing bases and base anchors and hauling materials./span/li lispanPerform painting of field, foul lines and logos./span/li lispanAssist with the application of drying materials and tarp pulling on fields during inclement weather./span/li lispanProvide general maintenance, which includes raking leaves, cleaning walks and littler control around fields, buildings and grounds./span/li lispanClean restrooms and replenish supplies, as needed./span/li /ul pstrongspanThe ideal candidate will be:/span/strong/p ul lispanInterested in learning more about parks and sports field groundskeeping./span/li lispanInterested in a flexible, part-time schedule with an estimated 20-25 hours per week./span/li lispanOpen to schedules that vary depending on assignment and could include nights and weekends./span/li lispanA safety conscious, punctual team player with a high work ethic./span/li lispanComfortable and able to execute essential functions in high-traffic public use areas./span/li /ul pstrongspanWhy Peoria?/span/strong/p pspanRecently voted the #1 place, to live, work and play, Peoria is a community you can be proud to work for./span/p pstrongspanAbout Peoria/span/strong/p pspanThe City of Peoria, AZ is a thriving city in the Northwest Valley that provides excellent municipal services to our community.
