Clinic Staff Nurse - Full-time

The clinic nurse works directly with doctors, specialists, and other care providers to deliver short and long-term care to patients. Clinic nurses aid patients from the moment they enter the clinic by collecting patient information, supporting patient evaluation, administering treatments and medications as needed, and educating patients. This position is full-time with 40 hours a week and expectancy of attending the workstation on time 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. The clinic nurse will serve as the liaison between the doctors, care providers, patients, and patient representatives, effective communication is also key to the position./span/p p helvetica, sans-serif;"Preparing documentation of all patient medical details/span/li lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Assisting in fixing patient appointments and testing tasks/span/li lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Supporting staff in delivering patient care services/span/li lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Conduct Patient intake and work closely with the patients throughout the intake process to help clinical providers development treatment plans and strategies/span ul lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"The clinic nurse will asks patients questions about current symptoms, medical history, and medications to provide the clinical provider with a complete understanding of the patient's current medical needs and background/span/li lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Vital signs including EKG's if needed along with respiratory treatments and other treatments as assigned/span/li lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Direct patients to the exam rooms, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy or other areas as needed/span/li /ul /li lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Direct support and assistance is required with the clinical providers./span ul lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Prepare equipment and other instruments and/or assist with procedures/span/li /ul /li lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Administering medication or treatments as ordered./span ul lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"May include dressing on a wound, apply topical treatments, or administering medication via oral, rectal, intravenous methods or direct injection/span/li lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Follow up with the patients to determine whether the courses of treatment was effective and assess patients during follow up appointments or phone calls/span/li lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Wound Vac experience or willing to learn the procedure is required/span/li lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Central line dressing change or willing to learn the procedure is required/span/li /ul /li lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Recognizes adult, adolescent, and children's immunization schedule with the assistance of the Electronic Health Record on each patient screened and give the appropriate vaccinations when needed/span/li lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Careful observation of patients on initial and follow-up visits is crucial including overall health, recovery progression, and reactions to treatment and updating patient records to reflect new information/span/li lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Clinical nurses also ensure that the facility is clean and prevent the spread of disease by sanitizing and maintaining equipment/span ul lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Proper disposal procedures for potentially hazardous materials including needles and tubing and clean equipment that is used by multiple patients within the facility/span/li lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Clean and stocking exam rooms and nurses work station is also required/span/li lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Autoclave instruments may be required/span/li /ul /li lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Effective communication skills with the patients and the care providers/span ul lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Interaction with patients throughout the day and often liaison between patients, patient representatives, and the care providers occurs every clinical day/span/li lispan style="font-size:12pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"Adhere to privacy laws including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to maintain patient confidentiality /span ul lispan
