We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee operations and ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery.
Job Overview:
The Warehouse Assistant Manager will be responsible for ensuring that inventory is received, processed, and dispatched efficiently. This role requires a hands-on leader with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to maintain operational excellence and uphold safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Help oversee day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storage, inventory control, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments, perform regular audits, and ensure inventory accuracy across all systems.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and help the manager to manage warehouse staff, including assigning daily tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring high levels of productivity.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency, minimize errors, and reduce shipping costs.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure the warehouse is compliant with all safety, quality, and company regulations. Conduct safety training and audits regularly.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and proper use of warehouse equipment, ensuring all tools and machinery are functioning correctly.
- Client Relations: Collaborate with account managers to ensure client expectations are met and customer satisfaction is maintained. Address any client concerns related to shipping, packaging, or inventory.
- Budget Management: Assist with forecasting, controlling costs, and maintaining warehouse operational budgets.
- Technology Integration: Work closely with the IT department to ensure proper integration and functionality of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of warehouse experience, preferably in an eCommerce or fulfillment setting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities with a proven track record of building and motivating teams.
- Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, able to make quick decisions under pressure and resolve operational issues.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and clients.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
