Reports To: Area Sales Manager
SummaryThe Area Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth within an assigned market area through new customer acquisition, retention of existing customers, and internal growth. This role utilizes a consultative sales approach to promote waste management services and is accountable for achieving budgeted sales targets.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport the Sales Manager and General Manager in executing marketing and sales strategies.
Respond to Broker and RFP requests within the assigned market.
Build and maintain positive community relations through involvement in civic/trade organizations and business groups.
Manage all new customer prospects and ensure retention of existing customers.
Submit monthly sales reports.
Conduct daily cold calls, phone blocking, and territory management.
Prepare and deliver proposals for new and existing customers.
Address customer retention activities and concerns.
Adhere to all safety policies.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
To perform this job successfully, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Education and ExperienceMinimum of 1 year of experience in new customer sales and account management (preferred).
Experience with Broker, Online RFP, and Marketing sales.
Background in contracted service industry sales and customer service.
Solid Waste Industry experience is a plus.
Proficiency in sales strategy, market research, prospecting, promotion, and retention.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Event management and grassroots outreach experience.
Light lifting (20–25 pounds).
Office environment.
Standard office setting with typical office equipment.
Travel required as per position needs.

Pay Details: $40,000.00 to $45,000.00 per year
