Position Summary:
The Special Procedures Technologist assists physicians with specialized radiologic procedures, including arteriograms, performed under sterile conditions. Responsibilities include preparing procedure rooms, positioning patients, and operating advanced imaging equipment according to established protocols. The technologist supports the physician during procedures by handling materials and capturing imaging as directed. Must demonstrate competency in providing age-appropriate patient care.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology
- ARRT certification and IEMA Radiology licensure
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Completion of a 2-year accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior patient care experience
Additional Details:
- Orientation includes 12 non-billable hours
- Local candidates (within 50 miles) are accepted
- Call-off policy: Up to 12 hours every 13 weeks without penalty
