Positon Summary

The Inventory Controller is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records of raw materials used for production among the various BrandFX sites. They are to ensure that materials, components, and finished goods are tracked efficiently to support production schedules and meet customer demands in a timely and cost-effective manner, while minimizing excess/obsolete stock and reducing waste.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records through regularly scheduled and ad-hoc cycle counts and reconciliations
• Coordinate with purchasing, production, and warehouse teams to determine availability and demand of materials
• Provide support and analysis for site specific warehouse teams/coordinators for efficient allocation and procurement of inventory
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, variances, and procedural errors in the manufacturing process
• Utilize ERP systems (Epicor) to track, update, and analyze inventory data
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports and reviews (KPI’s) for plant management
• Facilitate and direct year-end physical inventory exercises
• Monitor and maintain slow-moving and obsolete inventory portfolio and coordinate disposition plans
• Participate in continuous education for improvement of procedures and initiatives related to inventory control and material management

Suggested Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• GAAP and double-entry accounting knowledge preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously, collaboratively in a changing-work environment, and take initiative on necessary tasks
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and 5S principles is helpful
