Financial and Management Reporting Accountant

Position Summary:

The Financial and Management Reporting Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate, custom financial reports and management reports, in order to support operations. This position will also assist the Controller in preparing financial statements and sales tax returns as well as assist in rolling out software upgrades. Solid organization and problem-solving and analytics skills as well as the ability to work with changing priorities is a must. This person must also be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Controller with month and year-end financial statements
• Produce and analyze cost and operating reports for management
• Analyze daily inventory reports
• Learn and assist in roll-out of new software upgrades
• Become cross trained to assist in multiple accounting functions
• File monthly sales tax returns

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel and Office products
• Experience in using Crystal or SQL is helpful
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Understanding of GAAP
