Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Mid-Level ER Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join our team in Phillipsburg, KS. In this role, you will provide high-quality emergency medical care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, and ensure the best possible outcomes for patients in a fast-paced rural hospital environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive patient assessments and obtain medical histories.
Diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, and provide follow-up care or referrals.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
Stabilize patients in emergency and acute care situations.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes.
Counsel patients and families on conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and hospital regulations.
Contribute to continuous improvement, safety, and quality initiatives.
Board Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
Active Kansas state license (PA or NP).
Experience in Emergency Medicine (ER, urgent care, or acute care).
Proficiency in ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests.
Strong skills in patient stabilization, critical thinking, and decision-making.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced rural healthcare setting.
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Prior experience in a rural hospital or critical access healthcare setting.
Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
