Human Resources Manager – Sunroad Auto Shared Services, Inc.
Exempt - Onsite
Job Summary:
The Human Resources (HR) Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all HR functions within the organization, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, compliance, and organizational development. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive work environment, fostering employee engagement, and aligning HR practices with business goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business objectives.
- Support current and future business needs by engaging, motivating, and retaining employees.
- Develop and monitor HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
- Foster a positive and productive working environment.
- Manage the performance review process to promote accountability and drive results.
- Coach managers on conducting effective performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, and creating improvement plans.
- Partner with management to establish fair and competitive compensation strategies and ensure salary structures align with organizational goals.
- Assess training needs, implement programs, and monitor their effectiveness.
- Report HR metrics to management and provide data-driven decision support.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout all aspects of human resource management.
- Partner with department leaders to develop and execute hiring plans.
- Manage the full recruitment process from job requisition to onboarding, ensuring job descriptions are accurate, positions are posted for maximum exposure, candidates are properly screened, offers are extended promptly, and onboarding is engaging.
- Develop relationships with external recruiting agencies and engage with local colleges to source candidates.
- Maintain satisfactory attendance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruit, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience (3+ years) as an HR Manager or in a similar HR leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
- In depth knowledge of CA state and Federal labor laws
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- In-depth knowledge of various HR functions (recruitment, training and development, compensation, retention practices etc.)
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems, Dayforce preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently stands, walks, sits; uses hands; frequently reaches with hands and arms; frequently talks and hears.
- Occasionally climbs or balances; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, squats or crawls; occasionally lifts up to 15 pounds.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Work Environment/Noise:
- Office setting, typically within the HR or payroll department.
- Climate controlled.
- Noise level is quiet to moderate.
